    • In 1977, Jordi Bertran coincided with a group of puppeteers in Barceloneta, the old fishermen district of Barcelona, the “Grupo Taller de Marionetas” led by Pepe Otal, discovering the power of fascination and communication skills of puppets. Later, he was part of two groups: “The Collective Animation of Barcelona” (1978), directed by Carles Cañellas, and “The Traveling Company” The Farsants “(1979-1987), which he cofounded.
    • In 1987 he founded his own company, with the intention of spreading the art of puppetry, especially for adults. Thanks to the efforts of many artists and collaborators, Jordi Bertran Company is one of the most prestigious in the country, recognized his career with numerous national and international awards.
    • He has participated in the most important arts festivals in the world, touring for more than fifty countries, and worked on numerous television programs.
    • In the teaching aspect, Jordi Bertran offers courses in construction and manipulation of puppets and features an exhibition of puppets and photographs illustrating the history of the Company and its current location in the Taller del Parque, an open space created in Barcelona .
