It’s always very pleasant to see a young puppeteer connected with tradition and able to combine freshness with virtuosity. Cuba and Tolosa to host the next UNIMA meetings

We announced a few days ago that, in the voting that took place in Chengdu, Tolosa was the city chosen to host the UNIMA Congress in 2016. However, it was not known until the last day which was the city chosen to hold the Council Meeting, – an event which UNIMA celebrates two years after each Congress -, in 2014. Julieta Agustí has died in a traffic accident

Tragic news shocked the puppetry world yesterday: the death in a traffic accident of Julieta Agustí, director of the Lleida Puppet Centre and of the Lleida Puppet Fair. Scarcely a month after this year’s edition of the Lleida Puppet Fair, this terrible accident has struck her family and the projects that Julieta developed with such care and effort for most of her life, together with her husband, the puppeteer, writer and designer Joan Andreu Vallvé.
