The TOT Festival de Titelles i de Teatre d’Objectes, organised by Poble Espanyol (the Spanish Village, Barcelona), will be held from 16th to 25th March.
In the programme are a number of shows and related activities, such as an international course on “physical comedy” by Hilary Chaplain and various professional meetings. Furthermore, the festival coincides with World Puppet Day; Joan Baixas will read a text written especially for this day.
Puppetring.com will give more information about this event in the near future. Meanwhile, we consider it important to announce that companies will be featured from many countries —Poland (The Pole, by Bialostocki Teatr Lalek), Italy (Va’ dove ti porta il piede, by Teatro dei Piedi), the USA (A life in her day, by Hilary Chaplain), Andalusia (El traje del emperador, by Siesta Teatro), Madrid (Ulular, Tyl Tyl Teatro) and Catalonia (with the shows Jardín umbrío by Pep Gómez and Andrea Lorenzetti; Les coses de la vida by Trastam Teatre; Marieta by La Visual; Monstres by Zipit Company; The Puppet Lab from Catalonia/Scotland, and many more shows in the Total Experience series, and on the street).
In addition to several panel discussions for professional puppeteers, on Wednesday March 21st, at noon, Puppetring.com and its sister websites Titeresante.es and Putxinelli.cat will be officially presented. We will keep you informed. More information about this festival, click here.TOT
